We maintain no fixed list of qualifying marques or models. What a car has done, who has owned it, and what can be proven about it matter more than what it is.

The same core questions, weighted differently by car.

Every car we represent — whether we hold it or place it for someone else — is assessed against the same standard.

Chain of ownership
Who has owned the car, in what order, and whether that chain is documented or merely claimed.
Build and factory records
Original specification, production numbers, and any factory documentation that confirms what the car actually is, as opposed to what it is described as.
Condition and originality
The extent to which the car remains as built — and, where it has been restored, how faithfully and by whom.
History
Competition record, notable owners, or events that materially affect a car's significance, supported by documentation rather than anecdote.

A car that is strong on some of these and weak on others is not automatically excluded. A car that cannot be substantiated on any of them is.

Where we bring in external expertise.

Our own judgment, and that of our operating partner, covers most of what we need to know. Where a car's history or authenticity calls for it, we bring in marque specialists, former factory personnel, or independent experts — quietly, and only as the car requires. We would rather delay a transaction than rely on certainty we don't actually have.

The file matters as much as the car.

Every car we represent comes with what we can substantiate, plainly stated — including where the record has gaps. Full provenance detail is available by introduction.
